Spent is Jeffrey Skemp's debut performance poetry album.
Tinged with black humor, Spent's moody tall tales, poems and songs create unpredictable landscapes many immersed within musical accompaniment-- a foot stomping, a trumpet hissing, a floor creaking, a poorly tuned banjo, a ghostly piano.
The many remarkable and accomplished musicians that appear on Spent include Martin Dosh (DOSH,) JG Everest (Roma Di Luna, Blackfish), Matthew Skemp (Volcano Choir, All Tiny Creatures), Matt Monsoor (ICU), The Greg Shaffer Trio (GST), Andrew Skemp (This Machine) and John Colburn (Astronaut Cooper's Parade).
